Trapped Key Bolt Interlock with Dual Key
The SS-BD Trapped Key Interlock operates by using a locking bolt mechanism, which is extended when the key is removed. Inserting and turning the appropriate key retracts the bolt, releasing a personnel key and allowing access to the hazardous area. Alternatively, the SS-BD can be used for power interlocking on switchgear, directly interfering with the cam. When the key or keys are inserted, they become “trapped” in the lock, preventing the switchgear from being energized until they are released.

Notă importantă
It is important that when the bolt is retracted, it is held captive until the guard is closed. If you can extend the bolt whilst the guard is open, you are at risk of serious harm.
